Branching Out: Greening your verge

May 29 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Come along to our verge gardening workshop to explore how to make your verge a green, beautiful and cooling space!

Fiona from Gaia Permaculture will guide you through how to design and maintain your verge and why it can increase your property value and kerb appeal, cool your surroundings and provide habit/forage for wildlife.

During the workshop you’ll learn:

  • Gain inspiration on designing beautiful, productive verge gardens filled with native plants
  • Why native plants are so important to our local landscape for soil biology and climate
  • Where to find a list of plants common to your area to suit your soil type
  • Why correct placement of plants will save you time and money
  • Where to purchase native plants and the different size choices

Please note, the information presented at this workshop will focus on City of Swan verge guidelines and policies.

All participants who attend this workshop have a chance to win a $100 voucher to spend at the Trillion Trees Nursery! The winner will be selected at the end of the workshop.
