We empower councils & residents

We work with government, business, industry, community groups and individuals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and contribute to global efforts to secure a safe climate.

Are you working in the sustainability-sector and thrive from sharing your knowledge with others? Or do you know someone who fits the description? Do you already run workshops or have been keen to start?

We’re in the process of developing our 2026/27 local governments workshops program. We provide in-person and online workshops to our Subscribing Councils network to assist them in educating and supporting their residents and small-medium sized businesses.

Switch Your Thinking is running a community energy efficiency program (formerly known as the Energy Efficiency Pilot Program) through 74 local governments and community resource centres across WA, with support from Energy Policy WA in the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification. The program provides households and businesses access to relevant, accessible energy efficiency education to influence behaviour change leading to improved energy literacy and corresponding reductions in energy use and bills. Energy audit kits are available for loan from 130 locations around WA.

Switch Your Thinking is an initiative of the City of Armadale, City of Gosnells and the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale that provides information and support to 14 Councils across the Perth region.
