Community Energy Forum – Get your questions answered on EVs, all-electric homes, emerging technologies and more!

June 15 @ 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Free

Power up for the City’s second Community Energy Forum. Aiming to share practical information about what’s happening in the fast-changing energy space, the City of Stirling is hosting a range of energy experts who use simple language to explain complex ideas.

We are seeing more electric vehicles on the road, charging stations popping up and hearing about changes to our energy grid. Batteries, renewable energy and household generation are increasingly becoming our new energy supply. Find out what that means for you! Topics will include:

  • what energy technologies are available and when you might like to invest (Professor Ray Wills, Managing Director, Future Smart Strategies)
  • simple cost-free ideas to save energy in your home (Abbie Wilcox, Community Engagement Officer, Energy Ahead)
  • making a plan to create your own all electric home (Clean State Stirling)
  • is an electric vehicle right for you? (Sarah McCabe from Switch your Thinking)
  • design tips to build a sustainable home or renovation (Griff Morris, Director and Founder, Solar Dwellings)
  • what the City of Stirling is doing to use less energy and reach its emissions targets (Clayton Chipper, Service Lead Sustainability and Partnerships)

Learn about opportunities to save money, keep comfortable and do your part to reduce emissions and combat global warming. The forum will include a Q and A panel session for participants to ask any burning questions. Places are limited so register now!
