Dressed to Excess – Textiles & Upcycling Workshop

This engaging workshop includes a short presentation, three interactive textile games, and two hands-on upcycling activities. Participants will explore natural versus synthetic fibres, learn about the environmental impact of the textile industry, and create eco-friendly items such as Tawashi sponges from old socks and no-sew bags from T-shirts — fun, practical steps toward sustainable fashion.
About the Facilitator
Stephanie runs Care to Rewear, combining sustainability and style through education, creativity, and play. Her mission is to inspire more conscious fashion choices by deepening people’s connection with their clothing and highlighting the true value of what we wear. Her workshops spark curiosity, build awareness, and encourage participants to rethink their relationship with textiles.
