Happy pants – Sustainable Sew Saturdays
January 21 @ 5:00 pm - 7:45 pmFree
——SEW much textile waste in our society!
——SEW expensive to buy new!
——SEW much better to reuse and recycle!
——SEW why not learn a new skill and upcycle for free?
The Serpentine Jarrahdale Shire Library (providing sewing machines and overlocker) and Waste Education Officer Polly will be hosting FREE beginners sewing lessons (BYO used fabric to repurpose). SEW SUSTAINABLE!!
January’s session if making Happy Pants/Pyjama Pants (long or short) out of an old bedspread or quilt cover (BYO). There will be a couple of options of quilt covers/sheets available from the re-use shop for a gold coin donation if you can’t BYO or are inspired to make more! Note this is more an intermediate level class – as we will be using patterns and measuring to fit etc. More time has been allocated but some previous experience/attendance at previous sessions is preferred.
