Honey Tasting and Beeswax Candle-Making Workshop

January 16, 2025 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am
Free

What will be your New Year’s resolution for 2025? Whether it’s learning a skill, being more thrifty, helping the environment, or getting a new look, Library Services has got you covered! Join us for our free “Jump-start January” workshop series at the Libraries.

Engage your senses in this unique honey tasting and beeswax candle-making experience. During this interactive and educational workshop, attendees will learn about:

  • The gentle artform of beekeeping
  • Different types of native bees
  • How honey is harvested
  • Why bees are so important to our ecosystems

Participants will also enjoy a delicious honey tasting, a Q&A with the beekeeper/presenter, and the chance to hand-roll their own beeswax candle to take home and enjoy.

PLEASE NOTE: This workshop includes a variety of hands-on materials and educational resources. Due to allergy risks, no live bees will be brought to the workshop. If you have an allergy or intolerance related to honey, bees, or wax, we strongly advise that you do NOT book in for this event.

Adults only.

Bookings are essential, and open to the public on the 1st of January 2025. Click here to book your spot!
