Mending workshop at Bullsbrook

November 18, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Discover and practice easy-to-apply fixes and more creative mending so you keep enjoying clothes you love that need a fix.

Local upcycler Mariana Kirova of EcoFashionSewing.com will empower you with hand and machine sewing skills on valuable fixes, darning, invisible and more creative visible mending techniques.

You will learn how to rejuvenate your favourite clothing items that still have a lot of love to give. Bring a few old favourites that need a fix and practice applying insider’s tips and tricks shared in this mending workshop.

This hands-on workshop will demonstrate both hand and machine sewing techniques. There will be a limited number of machines available for sharing, but attendees are highly encouraged to bring their own machine for easy practice of the machine techniques.

All participants will need to bring basic sewing items. Further details will be communicated via email before the workshop.

This workshop is part of the Thinking Green series hosted by the City of Swan. Thinking Green is a series of free programs hosted across the City’s libraries and community venues. Click here to find out more and see the full list of workshops and talks.
