Planet Arks National Tree Planting Day 2024

July 27 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

WA has one of the lowest tree canopy covers nationwide and, as a community, we need to change this by planting more trees. With the simple action of planting a tree you can help cool the climate, provide homes for native wildlife, and make your local community a happier and healthier place to live.

Being in nature is also good for your health and wellbeing. Having a dedicated day (or more) to plant a tree gets us all out and into our beautiful landscapes.

We need to plant trees beyond national tree planting day to increase our canopy cover overall in our City, and to start viewing trees as part of our natural landscape in suburban areas. With all the benefits they provide, planting trees can go a long way in improving our Urban Forest.

Together, we can make a difference! It’s a call to action for all Australians to get their hands dirty and give back to the community.

While every day can be Tree Day, the City of Armadale will be dedicating the celebration of Schools Tree Day and National Tree Day on the last Friday and Saturday in July.

Plants, equipment Free Coffee and Pancakes will be available.
