Recycling Tricky Household Items – Community Information Session (Wednesday)

November 15, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

Did you know that the recycling rate in WA is only 60%?

This means that only just over half of the waste we produce is correctly processed in order to be used again. You may be wondering why that is, you use your recycling bin all the time, and everyone you know does as well, how can the resource recovery rate be so low?
There is always more we can learn and in the area of waste there is a lot that will surprise you!

To celebrate National Recycling Week (13th – 19th November) the City of Armadale’s Circular Economy Education Officer will be running free community sessions on tricky items to recycle at home. If you are unsure about which items belong in the recycling bin, or you have a household item to recycle or upcycle that presents a challenge, drop into these free community sessions to explore waste solutions.

The community information sessions will be held at the following locations:

  • Monday 13th November – Armadale Library (Shop 64 / 10 Orchard Avenue, Armadale)
  • Tuesday 14th November – Kelmscott Library (2784 Albany Highway, Kelmscott)
  • Wednesday 15th November – Seville Grove Library (78 Champion Drive, Seville Grove)

Learn how to sort your waste correctly and become a master at recycling, and what to do with those tricky to recycle items.

For any further enquires, please contact the Circular Economy Education Officer at the City of Armadale on 9394 5153

Registration not required.
