Come tour the free drop off facilities and other service providers located within and near the City of Wanneroo that are ready to help you reduce your waste and responsibly dispose of challenging items. Explore the world of free waste drop off locations, community reuse shops, and how “bring your own container” bulk food stores work.

Sometimes the unknown is the greatest barrier to trying something new. This tour with transport provided is a guided experience of the waste world beyond your kerbside bin. During this tour you will gain an understanding of:

• Where to take challenging or dangerous waste items that can’t go in kerbside bins.
• Reducing waste to landfill and improving resource recovery processes.
• Benefits of reuse shops for good quality items ensuring we get the most out of our resources.
• Bulk food shopping to reduce the waste we produce, and how to use self-provided containers.

Minimum age 6 years. All participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Closed shoes are essential and clothing suitable for the weather conditions. Parts of the tour are outdoors.

Bus transport to and from Clarkson train station and a light morning tea will be provided during the tour.

All participants will receive an attendance gift to support their waste reduction journey.
