Reducing Waste in an Early Years Setting

Calling all Early Years Educators! Join Little Green Steps WA in partnership with the Waste Authority WA and Robyn Brown, garden specialist from ‘Waste is My Resource’ as the special presenter for this workshop on Reducing Waste in a Early Years Setting. Learn about what waste is, tips on how to best manage waste in your services and information on ways to close the loop on food waste by embedding earth-cycling practices including:

• collecting food waste,
• composting,
• worm farming,
• water-wise gardening,
• seed raising with kids.

All with a focus on creative re-use in our own settings. This workshop will show how waste is linked to the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards. The workshop is held on Saturday 17th August from 9:30am-`1:30pm at Goodstart CanningVale.

There is a $5 holding fee required at the time of booking which will be refunded after the workshop.
