Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale Plastic Free Living Program: Home Composting Trial – Serpentine

This workshop is funded by Waste Sorted and the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale as part of the Shire’s SJ Plastic Free Living Program.

It is part of a lead up to a community Plastic Free July festival at Mundijong on 1 July (where the compost tool giveaways will be distributed).

If you agree to participate in a trial of collecting organic waste, you will initially receive a bucket composter and be asked to record approximately how much organic waste you collect daily over a month and return a sheet to show those findings.

If you return the data sheet, you may choose which system you would like as your free compost tool (compost bin, worm farm or bokashi bin), which will be ordered and ready for pick up at the Plastic Free July event on 1 July (in Mundijong).

Giveaway of composting tools is limited to 1 per household with a maximum of 20 places available in workshop – so booking is essential.

Also please let host know if you cannot make it to workshop so we can allow waiting list to attend in your place.
