Solar Dwellings 2025 Bus Tour

The much-anticipated Solar Dwellings Bus Tour is set for Sunday, October 19th this year.

Join the tour to visit four homes with passive solar design that have not been opened to the public before.

The open homes are:

• Two in Bayswater, where the blocks are 45 degrees to the north. These homes have both been designed at an angle to maximise the orientation. One a two-bedroom single-storey home with a small footprint. The other is a two-storey, four-bedroom family home that can be subdivided when the family no longer need a large garden.
• Two-storey in Bassendean. The home is long and narrow with limited access to the north due to a large easement on the south.
• Single-storey in South Guildford with north to the front on this triangular-shaped corner block. A large central courtyard provides access to winter sun and promotes crossflow ventilation.

Event Details

• Date: Sunday 19th October 2025
• Time: 9:30am – 1:30pm (Registrations will open at 8:30am, please arrive by 9am to ensure that we get on the bus on time) We will have tea and coffee at reception, its a great opportunity to meet the other people on the tour.
• Where: 23 Green St, Mt Hawthorn. Start and finish @ Solar Dwellings office
  
• Cost: $40 per person includes GST (Plus booking fee)
