Thinking Green: Abundance of less, clothes swap at Bullsbrook Library

Please note that this program is suitable for adults and young people aged 12 and over, and is a hands-on workshop. Photographs and videos may be taken of the event. Please book one ticket for each person attending.

Throughout the presentation you will discover how to go back to basics and living simply, reducing your clutter and be rewarded with more time, energy and space.

You’ll be able to rediscover your Ikigai, where your passion and purpose align and how to embrace the new ‘Share Economy’ where collaborative consumption is the new trend and more!

Clothes swap

The EMRC will host a clothes swap after the presentation.

Did you know that the average Australian woman buys 27kg of clothes in one year and throws out about 23kg? 800,000 tonnes of clothing is discarded in Australia each year, with roughly 90% ending up in landfill! The EMRC want to change that.

Check your wardrobe for items you don’t wear anymore and bring them along to swap them for items you will wear. You can bring as much as you like as long as it is in good wearable condition, and take as many or as few as you like. We accept all styles and sizes of women’s and men’s clothing and shoes, handbags, jewellery, and accessories. Items can be hung on hangers or brought in a reusable shopping bag that you can then use to take new items home!
