Turtle tracker training

The City of Canning have recently joined forces with Murdoch University and the South West Metropolitan Alliance to participate in the Saving Our Snake Necked Turtle project.

This project provides YOU with an opportunity to help save the snake-necked turtle by receiving training in the latest turtle knowledge and becoming a ‘Turtle Tracker’!

This includes tracking nesting females, protecting their nests, and logging this data on the TurtleSAT app – it’s all in a day’s work for a ‘Turtle Tracker’ to help protect this species under threat.
