Waste Less Worm Farming and Composting Community Workshops (Armadale residents)

March 9 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Free

Join the City of Armadale for an informative workshop that will help you take the next steps in recycling organics at your home.

Workshops are designed to support residents’ knowledge and confidence in recycling food scraps, garden waste and other organics, by implementing either a worm farm or alternative composting system to suit their lifestyle and individual circumstances.

Participants will leave the workshop with an understanding of the features of each system, an ability to identify waste material inputs, and feel inspired to produce nutrient rich fertiliser and compost in their own home. This afternoon workshop includes a brief tour of the adjacent Kelmscott Community Garden’s composting systems.

Note: At the workshop’s conclusion, City of Armadale residents are entitled to select one system of their choice and will automatically receive a 100% rebate. The rebate is dependent upon presentation of suitable ID together with a current rates notice or utility bill.
