Join us for a hands-on session showing healthy, microbe-rich soil holds water and reduces irrigation. Learn how healthy soils act like a sponge to retain water and reduce garden irrigation needs.

This hands-on session explores the role of soil microbes in water retention, includes live microbe viewing, and demonstrates water infiltration and compaction tests. Participants will discover simple ways to grow their garden’s microbial community – and save water.

Suitable for Adults and Youth 15+.

This workshop is hosted by the City of Canning. Waterwise Gardening is presented by EarthWhile, on behalf of Switch Your Thinking.
