Bird and Wildlife Havens for Small Spaces – Mundaring

September 30, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

With spring well and truly on the way, the Shire of Mundaring is thrilled to bring you an exciting FREE workshop all about creating enchanting sanctuaries that will attract a myriad of birds and wildlife!

Join local wildlife enthusiast Rachel Green who will reveal the art of creating stunning habitat gardens!

Learn the secrets and techniques to develop your very own wildlife-friendly oasis and enjoy the wonders of nature in your own backyard (even in very small gardens or courtyards).

You’ll learn how habitat gardens can be both horizontal and vertical, require little water, look beautiful, and be a pleasure to look after – all while providing refuge for more birds and wildlife from bobtails and frogs to quendas, bees and butterflies.

This talk will be action-packed, practical, and entertaining, with plenty of great plant ideas, practical tips, stunning wildlife photographs, and real local courtyard and small garden examples from our local area.

By the end of the event, participants will be equipped with the necessary insights to transform their own outdoor spaces into vibrant wildlife havens.

Not only is this a good way to increase the visual appeal of your gardens and attract native wildlife, creating healthy habitats in residential areas helps to reduce habitat fragmentation by connecting habitats in gardens to nature reserves.

Join us for this session on creating bird and wildlife havens for small spaces – it’s FREE – you’ll even get morning tea provided. See you there – but you must book in as there is a limit on numbers.
