Repair Lab

Repair Lab, hosted by the City of Melville is a free community drop in event to help people fix their belongings and save things from going to landfill. Skilled volunteers will help you with repairs of bicycles, electrical appliances, household items and textiles. If you’re unsure, bring it down and we’ll see what we can do!

House Rules:

• Please show your gratitude and respect for our Volunteer Repairer by staying with them for the duration of your repair – have a chat, you might learn a thing or two!
• We cannot guarantee a successful repair, however our Volunteer Repairers will do their best to help you free of charge with the time, tools and skills they have available. Advice will be provided if your item is unable to be repaired.
• Only one item is repaired at a time – if you have multiple items, you’ll need to join the queue again. This ensures everyone gets to be seen at least once by a Repairer.
• We are unable to accommodate dogs at this event, please leave them at home.
