Waste – Where does it go?

June 29 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

This workshop is a must-attend for anyone eager to contribute to a more sustainable future, master the art of waste sorting, or understand the benefits our everyday actions can have on the future.

There is always more we can learn and in the area of waste there is a lot that will surprise you!

Come along and learn how to sort your waste correctly with waste extraordinaire Peg Davies in this hands-on workshop. In this interactive workshop, Peg will answer the question ‘where does waste go, and what’s the best way to deal with it’?

Peg will take you through the kerbside bin options available in the Town of Bassendean, with a special focus on recyclable items. She’ll also provide information on how to safely dispose of waste that should never go in your bins at home.

There will be photography at this event, please advise staff if you don’t wish to be in photos which may be used for promotional purposes.

This workshop is the first of two held in the Bassendean Community Hall. The second workshop is about worm farming and how to get started at home. Between the two workshops there will be a lunch break from 12 to 1:30pm. Please ensure you register for both events if you are attending both.

Waste – Where does it go? and Wonderful World of Worms are presented by Peg Davies (Lessen with Peg) on behalf of the Town of Bassendean and Switch Your Thinking.

All funds received from this event will go towards a sustainability prize draw where you have the chance to win an induction cooktop. Those who attend are automatically entered into the draw.

Please note that should you need to cancel, we require at least 24 hours notice to issue a refund. Please also be aware that the refund will not be the full amount as ticket fees are included in the price.
